Fun with morays, pt. II

WordPress doesn’t like too many photos today (is there a restriction I am unaware of?), so I split this post in two. Anyway, where were we? Oh right, my would-be-mate…

...he seemed quite disappointed when I left.

As much as I like making morays’ acquaintance, I admit I chickened out when we encountered this Giant Moray:

These things have teeth

I think I’ll stick with the little guys:

Size matters

This one really liked the attention. He came out even further after the Husband with the big scary camera had moved on, and kept moving around my finger as if to get different spots rubbed.

My cats like this, too

I hope you enjoyed “meeting” the morays…

Fun with morays

I haven’t yet shared any of the fish pictures promised in March — mainly because we haven’t yet had time to go through them. No fish today either, but I thought I’d share some snapshots of another sea creature:

I really like morays, partly because they look so otherworldly. I am not entirely sure there is really just one head to one moray, either.

Also, they’re friendly and curious:

Anybody home?

Hello there!

I hope that in moray language this didn't mean we're engaged ...

Amazing

So the crazy murderer who murdered people because they believed you can get along even if you were born in different countries, speak different languages and follow different religions says he really hates this song about people getting along even if etc.

And what do the Norwegians do? They gather on a square (40.000 of them, which is a huge number considering that there are only 5 million of them altogether) and sing the song.

Anders Breivik: 0    Norway: 40.000

Surely that’s the best new thing in the world today.;)

(If it sounds familiar, the song is apparently a Norwegian adaptation of “My Rainbow Race” by Pete Seeger.)
