More sunflowers

All work and no play lately, hence the silence. But here are a few more sunflower pics — this time out in “the wild” (aka along the garden fence). Cellphone pics only, I’m afraid, but for that they’re not bad.

In the kitchen

Today was a greyish day (and having slept badly and having to get up very early on account of the builders did not help). But if you can’t have sun, at least you can have sunflowers — at least this time of year.

The husband bought some pears because “they were as pretty as a picture”. Right he is.

In this house, spending any significant amount of time in the kitchen usually generates a cat.

It can be grey outside all it wants, it’s sunny in my kitchen.

Tiny miracle

I was doing something in the garden when I suddenly felt something in my hand. Not a bit of dirt, as I first thought, but a tiny perfect shell:
